Backup Windows Mail Messages

1. Click on Start , type Windows Mail, and then press the key.
Windows Mail launches.
2. Click on File, select Export, and click on Messages…
The Windows Mail Export window appears.
3. Select Microsoft Windows Mail and click on the Next button.
4. Click on the Browse button.
The Select the location to which you want to export the e-mail messages window appears.
5. Select the location of the folder that you wish to export messages to and click the Select Folder button.
6. Click the Next button
The Select Folders screen appears.
7. Select the message folder that you would like to export and click the Next button.
Windows Mail now exports the messages, this may take several minutes depending on how many messages are present.
8. Click the Finish button.
The mail messages have now been exported.

Restore Window Mail Messages

1. Click on Start , type Windows Mail, and then press the key.
Windows Mail launches.
2. Click on File, select Import, and click on Messages…
The Windows Mail Import window appears.
3. Select Microsoft Windows Mail 7 and click on the Next button.
4. Click on the Browse button.
The Select the location of the e-mail messages that you want to import window appears.
5. Select the folder containing the exported message and click the Select Folder button
6. Click the Next button
The Select Folders screen appears.
7. Select the message folders you would like to import and click the Next button.
Windows Mail now imports the messages, this may take several minutes depending on how many messages are being imported.
8. Click the Finish button.
The mail messages have now been imported.
